The activity of Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking is an amazing adventure by climbing a mountain as high as 1,717 meters above sea level. It is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas northwest of Bali’s Mount Agung.
Many tourists visit this place to enjoy the scenery and do the hikes. If you are one of the nature lovers, the answer is mountain racks. About 2 hours from the slopes of the mountain to the summit, where we can see the sunrise and the island of Lombok from a distance.
The Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking begins in the dark with a guide provided flashlight, the path during the climb is lit by nothing more than your flashlight in hand. The first part is easy but once you reach half way you will pass a slippery part and you will need a lot of effort to reach the top. Once it reached the top, the sky changed from black to dark blue to pink and slowly changing orange. From this section you can imagine how far you have come in the last 2 hours.
You can sit on chairs overlooking the village roof at the bottom, sipping hot drinks and enjoying delicious banana sandwiches and poached eggs cocked in volcanic steam is an experience you won’t normally get during your trip.
After finishing breakfast and taking some photos, we will agree on the rim of the main crater in front of the lower rim of the main crater, here you can pee monkeys, take pictures and make some videos. Your Mount Batur Sunrise trekking tour will finish around 9:00am, depending on how fast your pace is during the trip.
Itinerary Trekking Sunrise Mount Batur
- 01.15 – 02.00 am: Pick up at villa/hotel/guest house or AirBnB throughout Bali.
- 03.00 am – Reach the Point to enjoy Coffee Break and Simple Breakfast (meet the trekking guide)
- 03.30 Am : Reach the starting point and then the Ascent begins.
- 03.50am – Start your ascent, it will take about 2 hours to the top.
- 05.50 – Arrive at the peak enjoying sunrise and breakfast.
- 07.00 am – Exploring the main crater and then descending various trails.
- 09.00 am – Arrive back at the car park and then visit the coffee plantation.
- 10.00 am – Visit coffee plantation (optional free).
- 10.30 – 12.00 – Estimated arrival at the inn (hotel).
